"I have two Boston Terriers ... my boy Elvis who is only 6 was diagnosed with Meningitis, which also caused extreme onset arthritis. We decided against invasive tests, such as spinal taps, because he was already in so much pain. He stopped eating, and we were told this was the beginning of a fast approaching end. I started researching food options, as to at least keep him comfortable. Long story longer? We started him on Green Earth Pet Food, and he immediately responded. He started eating two meals a day, and even asking for more! He had lost 7 pounds over 6 months (originally 25 lbs ... that is more than a quarter of his body weight!) and he started rapidly gaining it back! Currently, he is one pound shy of his normal weight, and its only been 4 months. He even gently trots around in the sun now! The moral here is not that it makes them gain weight, because my other babe Talula, who was obese, lost 3 pounds, and they were eating the same portions!
